Mike Graves

Mike Graves, 63, of Casa Grande died on Dec. 29, 2011 in Casa Grande, with his family by his side.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Bible Chapel, 1802 E. Grant Road in Tucson, with Alan Soderman officiating. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday in National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, in Phoenix.

Mr. Graves was born on Aug. 26, 1948, in Valley, Neb. He graduated from Amphitheater High School in Tucson and attended Arizona Western College on a golf scholarship. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and had a 30-year career in telecommunications before retirement.

He was an avid golfer and sports enthusiast with a passion for Pittsburgh Steeler football and Arizona Wildcat sports. He was known for his strong convictions, deep faith in Jesus Christ and devotion to his family.

Survivors include his wife, Patti; four daughters, Tricia Franznick, Suzi Ronalds, Gina Braybrooks and Melissa Graves; a son, Michael Graves; his mother, Josephine Graves; two sisters, Susie Krepel and Mary Piersanti; a brother, Frank Graves; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Graves, and a sister, Druscilla Maldoon.
