Mrs. Bertha Sims Sheridan, 80, died 1:30 o'clock Monday afternoon at her home, 705 Peyton. Mrs. Sherdan Sheridan suffered a heart attack. She had been sick three months.

Funeral services will be at 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the First Friends church, of which she was a member. Rev. Carl D. Byrd, pastor of the church, will conduct the services. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery.

Mrs. Sheridan was born January 28, 1854, at Aurora, Ill. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Bloss and her maiden name was Bertha Ann Bloss. She was married to Curtis B. Sims in 1875 in Aurora. They moved to a farm, 3 miles north of Americus, in 1877 and came to Emporia in 1892. Mr. Sims died here January 25, 1917. Mrs. Sims was married to Charles Sheridan at Emporia December 12, 1918. Mr. Sheridan died August 29, 1925.

Mrs. Sheridan is survived by four sons, Elmer B. Sims, Kansas City, Mo.; William B. Sims, Chicago, Ill., and Frank K. Sims and Louis Sims, Emporia.
