A lawyer by profession, Elbert was an undergraduate of TCU, receiving a Business Degree, and a graduate of SMU, receiving his Degree in Law. His career began with the Attorney General's Office in the Bond Division. He moved to Dallas in 1957 to join the practice of public law with Dumas, Huguenin, Boothman and Morrow; later the firm merged with Fulbright and Jaworski, LLP. In his free time, he loved woodworking, golf and miniature trains, and was a member of the Cedar Creek Bible Church in Kemp, TX.
Elbert was preceded in death by his son, Elbert M. Morrow, Jr.; grandson, Timothy Klodzinski; and sister, Mary L. Jeter. Survivors include his wife, Ann Morrow; daughters, Lynn Klodzinski and husband Ray, Merry Henderson; sons, Joseph Morrow and wife Lori, Ken Morrow and wife Qiying; 12 grandchildren; 8 great- grandchildren; brother, William C. Morrow and wife Sheila; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at Cedar Creek Bible Church, 700 N. Seven Points Blvd, Kemp, TX 75143; Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 3:45 pm, Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at Restland Funeral Home with graveside service to follow at 4:00 pm in Restland Memorial Park, with Reverend Bob Parry officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cedar Creek Bible Church Building Fund, 700 N. Seven Points Blvd., Kemp, TX 75143.
