Anna Mae was raised in Hume, MO and graduated from the Hume High School. She lived in Rich Hill from 1942 to 1968 when she moved to Vernon County and lived on a farm South of Nevada for the remainder of her life. She was a member of the Moundville Methodist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Sammy Whiteside and her husband Larry, Neosho, MO; five grandchildren, Lori Baker and her husband Chris, Nevada, MO, Lisa Rainey and her husband Billy, Nevada, MO, Jason Black and his wife Nicole, Carl Junction, MO, Melanie Whittlesey and her husband Michael, Granby, MO, and Joshua Whiteside and his wife Jennifer, Neosho, and eleven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Rosemary Anne Black, an infant son Allen LaVern Starr, Jr , an infant daughter, one great-granddaughter, Olivia Rainey; one brother, Robert Hancock, and one sister, Margaurite Corners.
A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m., on Saturday, July 23, 2011, at the Moundville Methodist Church, Moundville, MO, with Rev. Lynn Quist officiating.
