Cristie Coletta (Kelley) Warren 90 Years old of Evansville, Indiana. passed away Sunday, October 28, 2012, at Good Samaritan Home. Cristie was born in Reed, Kentucky., on February 10, 1922., she was the heart and soul of her big family for many years. she will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. Cristie loved her family and friends, College basketball (especially I.U. and K.Y.) and music. she sang on live radio in her younger years and later, played the piano at Bethany Church in Pelzer, Indiana., she was very proud to have been a Kentucky Colonel. When Cristie moved to Evansville, Indiana., she worked at downtown locations including the Country Kitchen, Hawaiian Village, and the Kentucky Bar. she retired from Welborn Hospital in 1986. she was such a giver, giving of herself and means to everyone she knew. she had such a generous heart. Cristie was preceded in Death by her ex-husband , Howard Warren ; her eldest son Howard Errol Warren; and her friend and partner of 25 years, Denzil Amos. She is survived by daughters, Rosella Houchins (Gary), Bonita Scott (John Herbert), both of Boonville, Indiana., and Rita Steckler (Jeff), of Chrisney, Indiana., sons, Larry Warren (Diana), Mark Warren (Cindy), both of Boonville, Indiana., Byron Warren (Elaine), of Evansville, Indiana., and Monte Warren (Brenda), of Boonville, Indiana., 15 Grandchildren; and 19 Great-grandchildren. Services will be noon Friday, November 2, 2012, at Alexander East Chapel, with graveside services in Warren Family Cemetery, Boonville, Indiana., Friends may visit Thursday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. if you can't make it to the funeral home, please join our celebration of life at the home of Mark and Cindy Warren (across from the Warren Family Cemetery 4099 Pigeon Valley Road Boonville, Indiana), Everyone is invited to share memories and celebrate Cristie's life after the funeral services on Friday. call 319-1076 or 812-897-4399 for directions.
