OBITUARY:

Mrs. Emmamae Brandenburg Morgan, 81, of Parkton, died Wednesday, July 13 at Gilchrist Hospice in Towson.

Born in Harmony, she was a daughter of the late Leslie Brandenburg and Annie Waters Brandenburg.

Mrs. Morgan retired after 25 years as a Baltimore County Elementary school teacher. She was very active in the Lutheran Church, serving as Sunday school teacher for many years. She founded the AARP chapter near Maryland Line, Md.

Mrs. Morgan touched the lives of many family, friends and former school children. She will be remembered and missed by all.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Charles Morgan; two daughters, Ann Turcotte of Jefferson and Joan Boxell of Middletown; two sons, Lee Morgan of Parkton and Bruce Morgan of Shrewsbury, Pa.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Bruce Brandenburg of Middletown.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 18 at the Ricketts Funeral Home, 504 Main Street, Myersville with Pastor David Howell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Internment will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Middletown.

Emmamae graduated from Frostburg State Teachers' College during World War II, and earned a Masters degree in Education from Towson State University in the early 1960s.
