Ms. Beaube was a charter member of the Sunday School Department at Jackson Park United Methodist Church, where she received awards for 13 years of perfect attendance. While a member there, she taught Sunday school, Bible school, served on the administrative board, directed Christmas plays, served as chairman of the decorating committee for the churches' new parsonage, and other capacities such as assisting in establishing the first library in the church.

She graduated from A. L. Brown High School, Kannapolis, in 1955. Her favorite school activity was the high school band in which she was a majorette.

She was also a graduate of the Gadsden Business College Secretarial School in Gadsden, Alabama. Before retirement, she was employed with Community Dialysis for 17 years.
