Alvin Chester 'Tony' Finchum Sr., 83, of Capon Spring W. Va., died (12 May 2005) Thursday at the VA Medical Center in Martinsburg, W. Va.
Graveside service will be held Monday at Sharon Cemetery in Middleburg.
Mr. Finchum was born April 1, 1922, in Middleburg, son of the late Chester Earle and Nannie Gray Finchum. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II and a retired air-conditioning mechanic.
Suriving are a son, C. Alvin Finchum Jr. of Strasburg; two daughters, Barbara Johnson of Warrenton and Linda McClanahan of Remington; a sister, Peggy Printz of Martinsburg; two brothers, Amos V. Finchum of Warrenton and Francis Finchaum of Boyce; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
