James Etison Hammond, 79, of Anderson died on May 24, 1990 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Anderson with Rev. Greg Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Barnett Cemetery with Loretto Memorial Chapel in charge of arrangements. He was a native of Lauderdale County. He was a retired school bus driver. He was a veteran of World War II. His wife, Lettie Lee Hammond, died on December 7, 1975. He is survived by his sisters, Susie White and Laura Mae Word, both of Anderson.
