Amy Wanetta Erickson
Sept. 8, 1923 - Jan. 18, 2001 Amy, graduated from Lincoln High School. During World War II, Amy worked at McChord Field while her husband, Darel, was in the Air Force. In the more recent years, Amy worked at the Moore and Fern Hill Library branches. Amy loved to sew for her grandchildren. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading and gardening. Amy and Darel attended many of the Air Force reunion conventions in New York, Texas and Australia where Darel was stationed during the war. She was preceded in death by her brother Gordon Krebs. Amy is survived by her husband Darel of 57 years; sons: Rick, Rory (Laura) and Steve (Vickie) Erickson; daughter, Cheryle Smith; grandchildren: Mellisa Leach, Kimberly Smith, Shawn and Shane Erickson, Connie Reddington, Andrea and Carly Erickson, Brooke, Brett Simons; great-grandchildren: Ricky, Jake and Christopher Erickson, Jason and Kimberly Marie. Amy also leaves one brother Kenny, her close cousins Margie and George Lepard and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Mountain View Valley Chapel on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001 at 12:00 PM. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home, 584-0252.
