NEW CASTLE--William I. Patterson, 79, of New Castle, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, January 6, 2012 at the Lynd House in Muncie. He was born December 30, 1932 in Somerset, KY, to Elmer Morton and Lillie May (Burdine) Patterson.
William was a life insurance sales representative for Commonwealth Life and was promoted to district manager in the southern district for the New Castle office. He was a member of Full Gospel Temple. He was very active in the church as he and his late wife were in charge of the Junior Church for children for over 30 years and was the church treasurer.
William is survived by two sons; a brother; and three grandchildren.
William was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Juanita Patterson; brother, James A. Patterson; and sister, Ruth Dykes.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Full Gospel Temple, 212 W. 7th St., Muncie, with Pastor Denny Helton officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Greenwood. Friends may call at the Full Gospel Temple on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 from 10 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday.
