Per Pulaski County Journal, Winamac Indiana Thursday May 28, 1959. Joseph James of Logansport, sixty-three years of age' died Sunday at Memorial hospital there. He was born in Winamac on Nov 14, 1895, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John James- (Sarah Elizabeth Crim), and spent his youth here. His first marriage was to May Elea of Winamac, who died in 1944. He wa a member of the Pilgrim Holiness church. Surviving are his wife, Jannie; six sons, Cecil, Charles, Donald, William and Paul of Logansport, and Kenneth with the Air Force in Alaska; two daughters, Evelyn, Amarilla, Texas, and Josephine of Logansport. Two brothers, Floyd James of Royal Center and Harve of Phoenix Ariz, and a sister Mrs. Ethel Boggess of North Manchester.
Services were held Wednesday at the Chase Miller funeral home in Logansport, with the Rev. Ralph McCrory officiating. Burial was in the Winamac cemetery.
