Elsie H. (Leonard) Ness, 76, of York, died Saturday, March 7, in her home.

Born Aug. 1, 1921 in York County, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Margaret (Lanzar) Leonard. She is survived by her husband, Elmer T. Ness.

Mrs. Ness was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, York.

She was employed as a cafeteria worker in the Red Lion School District for 10 years.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Patricia A. Smith of Gettysburg; one son, Robert E. Ness of Spring Grove; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Esther Dillon, Frances Landis, Dorothy Guyer and Joan Freitag, all of York; and five brothers, Earl Leonard, Robert Leonard and Herbert Leonard, all of York; Lloyd Leonard of Dover; and Donald Leonard of Columbiana, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, in Trinity United Methodist Church, York, with her pastor, the Rev. Charles W. McCulloh Jr., officiating. Interment will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the services on Wednesday in the church.
