Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Nedra Banks McGee, age 89, died March 6, 2007 in Provo, Utah. She was born November 18, 1917 to Robert Ernest Banks and Josephine Hunter in Montpelier, Idaho and grew up in Green River, Wyoming, where she graduated from Green River High School.
She married C. Robert "Bob" McGee, May 28, 1939 in Green River, Wyoming. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. After their marriage, they lived in Salt Lake City, and Pueblo and Longmont, Colorado before moving to Provo in 1947.
Nedra worked for Thomas' Department Store and then for the BYU Press from which she retired. She and Bob traveled to several parts of the world before his death in 1987. During her life she has held many callings for the LDS Church, in the YWMIA, Primary and Relief Society including that of an ordinance worker with her husband in the Provo Temple.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Robert McGee in 1987 and is survived by a daughter, Merlene M. Sanders of Orem; a son, Robert E McGee of Fountain Valley, CA; a sister, Nell Dean Williamson of Hyrum, UT; 10 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 10, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, 185 East Center Street, Provo. Friends may call at the Mortuary Friday evening, from 6-8 p.m., or Saturday morning, one hour prior to services. Interment, Provo City Cemetery
