Theresa was born to Joseph and Ireta Hodges on March 10, 1963 in Burley, Idaho. She graduated from Ontario High School and attended BYU Idaho. Theresa was crazy about a man named Shane Hyde. The two were married in the Logan LDS Temple on September 29, 1982. She was a valiant member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She was exceptional, as described by others:
I've never met someone who cared so much about everyone else, who had so much strength, so much love and passion, and so much desire to do what is right. If everyone had the love, faith, and demeanor of this beautiful woman the world would be a heaven on earth. What a true example of Christ - what we should be and how we should live our lives.
I was blessed to photograph such a beautiful family. Even though it was only a few hours. Theresa, you have inspired me with your courage, strength, love of life, family and friends. You, and that day, will remain the highlight of my career. Rest in peace, beautiful lady.
Theresa is survived by her husband, Shane Hyde, her four children: Chantel (Luke) Robinson, Britney (Joe) Nattress, Derek (Jessica) Hyde, and Alden Hyde (currently serving in the Australia Adelaide Mission), her five grandchildren; Connor, Tyson, Chloee, Brielle, and Corbin, her parents: Joseph and Ireta Hodges, and her four brothers and two sisters.
