About 1956, Mattie married Jack Conn in Franklin, Robertson Co., TX. They moved to Huntsville about 1957, Pete was on of those prison guards that guarded the Huntsville prison on horse back. It was too long before Mattie had enough of Pete alcohol and divorced him, She then moved back to Franklin.
At an unknown time she married Clarence Lee Goldsmith, they would married for a few years when he died of stomach cancer in the Northshore Hospital in 1970. Mattie died at the age of 70 in 1979.
