Son of Peter and Margaretha (crum)stueve whom was married may-16-1867 peter immigrated from hannover germany and was a farmer in salem at farrar mo.- John was a man of many talents he was a blacksmith he worked for frisco rr at Seventy Six Missouri, he walked about seven miles to get to work. he made home brew that was real good to many accounts. he loved fishing.his father was born in hannover germany.John had four children-William-(Edith AKA IDA)-Edna-Hilda.his wife s name was Mary Jane (Bess)Stueve. john also did some blacksmith work in the crosstown mo. area. his still or part of it is posessed by ernest lee clary.john and mary resided on the red rock road in crosstown mo.now known as perry county road #350.the house still stands as of may 30-2004.john was married on april-24-1895 in perry co. mo.JOHANN WAS CONFIRMED LUTHERAN ON APRIL-6-1884 AT SALEM LUTHERAN FARRAR MO.
