She was born Aug. 30, 1902, at Chase, the daughter of James P. and Katherine Lyon Malone. A lifetime Rice County resident, living at Chase, Lyons, and Sterling, she was a retired librarian for the city of Lyons.
She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, the Altar Society and the American Legion Auxiliary, all of Lyons, and PEO at Sterling and Lyons.
On May 16, 1928, she married Richard W. Fleeson at Chase. He died April 29,1957.
Survivors include: three sons, Richard, McLean, Va., Robert, Nottingham, N.H., and Harry, Lyons; a daughter, Helen Fleeson, Essex Junction, Vt.; and three grandchildren.
Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at Sillin Funeral Home, Lyons. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Catholic Church, Lyons, with Monsignor Quinton Malone presiding. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the
funeral home. Burial will be in Lyons Municipal Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to the church, to the Rice County Museum or to Sterling College, all in care of the funeral home.
