Carol Lee (Crum) Bruckner, 62, of Battle Creek died 25 Jan 2004 at her daughter's home in Battle Creek. She was born 28 Feb 1941 in Traverse City, MI, the daughter of Herbert and Ethel Elizabeth (Boone) Crum. Carol was a Children's Day Care owner for more than 25 yrs until she retired due to ill health in 2003.
She is survived by two daughters, Tania E. and David Boody of Battle Creek, and Cassie and Adam Loser of Galesburg; one son, Dale D. Bruckner of Albion; two adopted grandchildren, Ashley Bruckner and Tiffany Bruckner, both of Battle Creek; and seven additional grandchildren; two brothers, Dale Crum and Ken Crum, both of Battle Creek; two sisters, Wanda Straw of Slidell, LA, and Vonitta and David Pierce of FL. She was preceded in death by her father in May, 1980 and her mother in June 1995.
Carol came with the family to the Battle Creek area as a small child. She received her education from Delton-Kellogg schools. She enjoyed painting, crocheting, jigsaw puzzles and crossword puzzles. She especially enjoyed watching Dr. Phil and Animal Planet on television. She was a member of the Eagles Lodge. Burial of cremated remains was private at Banfield Cemetery."
