Funeral Services Will Be Held Tomorrow Afternoon
Miss Saran Manning Lowe, last immediate member of one of Huntsville's oldest families, died at her home, 600 Franklin street, at 6:30 o'clock this morning after an illness of pneumonia.
Funeral Services will be held from the residence at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. The Rev. Car Gamble, rector of the Episcopal church, of which she was a member, will officiate. Interment will be made in Maple Hill cemetery with Laughlin-McCaleb in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be David A. Grayson, Harry M. Rhett, Clarendon Davis, Addison White, W. W. Newman, Charles Fletcher, E. R. Matthews and J. P. Moore.
Born in Huntsville, Miss Lowe was the daughter of B. M. and Sarah Manning Lowe. She had lived here all her life. She was a charter member of the Virginia Clay Clopton chapter, United Daughters of Confederacy, and until her illness, took an active interest in its affairs. Her survivors are Mrs. W. A. Byrd, Mrs. Henry Wilkins and Mrs. Ben Lee Young, nieces, all of Huntsville; Her great-nephew, Robert J. Lowe, and her great-niece, Miss Sophye Lowe Young.
All members of the Virginia Clay Clopton chapter, U. D. C. are requested to attend the funeral in a body.
