Never married. Was 104 years old at time of death.She lived in her own home still at the time of her death. She had no family, save for a nephew who came from Washington to bury her. At the time of her death, I was the Family Service Counselor at Hillcrest. There was no pomp and circumstance, no funeral, just her nephew who had to catch a plane, myself, and the two maintenance personnel that would bury her. I said a prayer for her and placed a few of the roses from her small casket spray on her casket as they lowered her into the ground next to her beloved parents. She is one that I will always remember and often visit when I visit family. When her social worker came to fill out final burial paperwork, she told me that Ms Swanson's full name was Ann Marie Swanson, she hated the "Ann" part of her name so she only went by Marie. ---Bio by billfall
