Enlisted in Capt. Archibald McKinney's Company of Tennessee Militia on Jan 24, 1813, Mustered out May 10, 1814.
David McAlister also enlisted the same day in the same Company, David later re-enlisted in another outfit. William Crawford McAlister and David McAlister more then knew each other in Tennessee. Other researchers have located court documents as well as records of a Road Crew headed up by Meredith Webb and William and David are listed as road workers. However, Recent DNA testing shows no relation of David to William Crawford McAlister's lineage. One of our many family Mysteries. Also, like David, William Crawford McAlister left no account as to his Father and Mother.
