Andrew Hatfield is buried in an unmarked, mass grave in the IOOF Cemetery in Edwardsport, IN. He died of the flu along with many others at that time. His son Herman Paul Hatfield was born about 6 months after his death to Andrew's 2nd. wife Sarah (Myers) Hatfield. After Andrew's death, Sarah married William Lagle and died Oct. 22, 1914 in Wheatland, Knox County, IN. Andrew was the son of Rev. Mordecai Ale Hatfield, an ordained Primitive Baptist minister of Owensburg, Greene County, IN, and was noted for his philosphy in preaching.
