Keith Henry, age 87, went to be with the Lord on January 7, 2012. He is survived by wife of 65 years Grace Henry, children Susan Harrison, Sandra Reigel, Robert Henry, and Rodger Henry, eleven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and his sister Ruth Clemons. His life was celebrated prior to his passing with family gathered at his home. This pleased him mightily as family and home were always his favorite things. Born in Woodward, Iowa in 1924 Keith moved with his family when he was 11 to Whittier, California. He attended Whittier High School and enlisted in the United States Army after Pearl Harbor. He bravely served his country in three major campaigns and was awarded the Bronze Star. After the war he returned to Whittier and married his childhood sweetheart, Grace Settles. He began his career with Los Angeles County while helping raise his four children and attending Fullerton College. Always a farmer at heart, on his days off Keith and Grace would load up the kids in the car to go searching for the perfect rural property. After a 35 year career with Los Angeles County, Keith and Grace retired to Garner Valley before moving to Temecula 17 years ago.
A Graveside Service was held at Riverside National Cemetery on Monday, January 16, 2012 at 12:45.
