Roy Alexander was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on February 11, 1937 the son of the late Arvil B. and Lola Love Alexander.

Mr. Alexander was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was stationed in West Germany after World War II. He worked with the Tennessee Valley Authority at Yellow Creek, Mississippi and at Scottsboro, Alabama. Mr. Alexander attended Clifton Methodist Church and Mountain View Church of Christ.

He departed this life on November 13, 2006 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 69 years, 9 months and 2 days.

Mr. Alexander is survived by a son, Kenneth Glen Alexander of Savannah, Tennessee;
2 grandchildren: Christian Meghan Alexander and Kendra Lynn Alexander;
and 9 brothers and sisters: Douglas Alexander of Savannah, Tennessee, Keeton Alexander of Tucson, Arizona, Ray Alexander of Memphis, Tennessee, Ellen Neff of Memphis, Tennessee, Linda Averett of Memphis, Tennessee, Marie Alexander of Waynesboro, Tennessee, Clo Simon of St. Louis, Missouri, Lawanda Carroll of Savannah, Tennessee and Judith Beckham of Savannah, Tennessee.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Barney and Danny Alexander and a sister, Lou Howe.
