BAILEY, MARY JANE "JANIE" of Jackson passed away January 11, 2012 in Washington, DC surrounded by her children. She is survived by her children, John L. (Suzanne) Clark of Gaithersburg, MD, Patricia A. Clark of Washington, DC, Elizabeth Clark (Merrill) Hessel of Gaithersburg, MD, Mary Lee Clark of Jackson; her step children: Constance (Les) Hutchinson of Jonesville, MI, David E. (Denise) Bailey of College Station, TX; nine grandchildren: Tessa Vaughan (Greg Hale), Hillary Vaughan, Megan Vaughan, Peter Clark (Rachel Farley), Charles Clark (Sasha West), Andrew Clark, Mary (Paul) Buitrago, Jeff (Kate) James, Brian James, and Michelle Bailey; thirteen great grandchildren: Antonio Reid, Ping Hu, Jacob Asher Hu, Isabella Kaili Hu, Coltrin Hale, Harrison James, Hayden James, Hannah James, Hallie James, Harper James, Lucy Clark, Isabel Buitrago and Dylan Buitrago. She is also survived by her sisters, Amy Louise (KC) Lu of Arcata, CA, and Isabel M. (William) Korrer of King, WI, several cousins, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands: John L. Clark and Peter B. Bailey, her parents: John H. and Amy M. Firth, and her three brothers: John H. Firth, Robert M. Firth, and James G. Firth and her step daughter, Kathy (Jim) Hilleary.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2:30 to 4 pm and 6:30 to 8 pm with a Scripture Service at 7:15 PM at the Desnoyer Funeral Home and on Monday from 10:00 to 10:30 am at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church with a Mass of Christian burial at10:30 am. Father David Harvey will preside. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery.
