Newton William Reid was the son of Haston Taylor Reid and Margaret Ellen Buis Reid. He married Catherine Anna Carr 14 June 1920 and they share a tombstone. After her death, he married Vesta (O'Mullane)Boggs in 1942 and later divorced. He then married 8 Dec 1948 Geraldine (Lawson) Dyer.
