Prasky, 67, of 17 Bennett Street, a retired carpenter, died Wednesday at Paul Kimball Hospital, Lakewood. He was born in Poland, son of the late Adolph and Josephine Piskorski. He was a member of Local 132, carpenters union, Washington. Mr. Prasky was an Army veteran of World War I. He had moved here one year ago from Hyattsville, Maryland. Surviving are his wife, Bertha Burke Prasky, at home; one daughter, Mrs. Lynn Beck, Westwood, Massachusetts; two stepbrothers, Walter Krzyzanowski and and Louis Krzynowek, both of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, one grandson, five nieces, and one nephew."

Berkshire Eagle on 20 November 1965: "Stephen Prasky, a former resident of Pittsfield and a retired carpenter, died yesterday at his home, 17 Bennett St., Jackson, New Jersey. He lived in Hyattville, Maryland, for many years before moving to New Jersey. Survivors include his wife, the former Bertha Beck [sic] of Jackson; a daughter, Mrs. Fred Beck of Westwood; two stepbrothers, Walter Peterson and Louis Krzynowek, both of Pittsfield; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Bloniarz Funeral Home tomorrow night from 7 to 9. The funeral will be Monday at 8:36 a.m. from the funeral home."

Berkshire Eagle on November 22, 1965: "Stephen Prasky. A High Mass of Requiem for Stephen Prasky was celebrated this morning at Holy Family Church by the Rev. John P. Skowronski. Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery, with Father Skowronski offering prayers at the grave. Bearers were Joseph A. Legault Sr., Joseph A. Legault Jr., Charles J. Passe, Fred E. Beck, James R. Towart and Richard W. Turner."

Burial:
He was buried on November 22, 1965 in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Pittsfield, Berkshire County, Massachusetts.

When she would come over the house she would sit on the porch with my brother, Jimmy Norton, and all his friends would pass by the porch to see her. Jimmy took our father to see her show and all he could say was 'she's a strong woman'."
