Funeral for Mrs. Margie Poteet age 79 of Somerville will be Tuesday January 17, 2012 At 1:00pm at Peck Funeral Home with Rev. Ronald Manley and Rev. Cecil Berry officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be at New Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:00am – 1:00pm at Peck Funeral Home. Mrs. Poteet was born August 18, 1932 in Morgan County Al. Mrs. Poteet died Friday January 13, 2012 at the residence of John and Carolyn Witt her caretakers. She was the daughter of Mattie Pearl Hodge. She was a homemaker and loved to play the piano and sing gospel music. Special thanks to the superior care provided by John and Carolyn Witt her caretakers and to Becki Johnson of Alacare. She was preceded in death by her mother; her husband Edward A. Poteet, Jr. and by one brother: Charlie Hodge. She is survived by 1 son: Steven Lyle Poteet,. Somerville, Al. 1 Grandchild: Caitlin Leigh Poteet. Pallbearers will be: Don Poole, Larry Allen, Glenn Williams, David Grantland, George Russell and John Witt.
