William Aaron, 79, of 1913 West St., Peru died at 7 p.m. Jan. 12, 2012, in his home.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in St. John's Lutheran Church, Peru with pastor Timothy J. Kenyon officiating. Burial will be at Peru City Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday in Hurst Funeral Home, La Salle and from 10 a.m. Monday until the time of services in the church.
Mr. Aaron was born July 21, 1932, in Peru to Edward and Freida (Joop) Aaron. He married Lorena [sic: Lorona] C. King on Feb. 6, 1960.
He served with the U.S. Army in the Korean War from 1952 to 1954. Mr. Aaron retired from Phillip-Johanna in Ladd. He was a member of Peru Eagles Lodge and Peru VFW.
Mr. Aaron is survived by two daughters, Chris (Richard) Decker of Peru and Cheryl (Don Rettko) Siembab of Peru; one son, Michael (Robyn) Aaron of Elk River, Minn.; nine grandchildren and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his wife on Sept. 19, 2011; and two brothers, Edward and Roy Aaron.
Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
