He was a disabled veteran of World War II, serving his country in the Army with the Third Division during the European Campaign. He was awarded a Purple Heart, the Bronze Star and numerous other medals.
He was a good Christian man and wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be missed dearly.
Mr. Page was preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Lillie Page; his sister, Della Lanham; and his brother, Clyde Page.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lona Presley Page; two daughters, Brenda Edwards of Fairplain and Evelyn Dadisman and her husband, Larry, of Charleston; two sons, Roger Page and Dana Page and his wife, Patricia, of Dunbar; five grandchildren, Scot Taylor, Michael Edwards, Nancy Ball, Kristie Edwards and Molly Page; four great-grandchildren, Brianna and Morgan Ball and Micahaela and Mikie Edwards.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Doyle Young officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
