Lewis County Herald, Hohenwald, Lewis Co., TB; 30 July 1992
"Mr. Hinson Service Tuesday -
Alfred Buron Hinson, age 86, of Hohenwald, died on Saturday morning, July 25,
at at St John's Hospital in Salina, Kansas from injuries resulting from an automobile
accident on Friday.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the McDonald Funeral
Home chapel with Joe Paul Bryant, minister of Flatrock Church of Christ, officiating
assisted by Anthony Hinson, a grandson of Mr. Hinson. Burial followed in the Goodman
Cemetery.
Mr. Hinson was a son of the late John Thomas and Bertha Talley Hinson. He was the husband of the late Earline Blackwell Hinson who preceded him in death in 1990. A former department manager at Genesco and retired employee of the Lewis County Highway department, Mr. Hinson was a member and past master of Hohenwald Lodge 607, Free and Accepted Masons.
Survivors include three daughters, Imogene Kirk of Hornlake, Mississippi, Melba Ogg and Nelda Anderson, both of Hohenwald; four sons, Clifford Hinson of Memphis,
Osteen Hinson and Alton Hinson, both of Hohelwald and Oscar Hinson of Security, Colorado; three brothers, Lee Elton Hinson, Braden Hinson and Buddy Hinson, all of
Hohenwald; two sisters, Barbara Jewel Dickey and Carlene Davis, both of Hohenwald; 33 grand children and 35 great-grandchildren."

(Note: Buron died while vacationing with a daughter and son-in-law; their house trailer was hit
while they were travelling...I believe to Colorado to visit a son. The accident occurred in Kansas, and
he died the day following from his injuries.
I had many telephone conversations with Buron & Earline, and they both helped me greatly on the Hinson, Talley & Blackwell, lines. hmh)
