Marvin Barrow, 84, of Old River-Winfree, formerly Mont Belvieu was born August 25, 1930, in Cove to Martin and Vida Williams Barrow and passed away Sunday, November 30, 2014. He was retired from Lubrizol Corp. and was a devout Christian and a member of the Cove Church of Christ for many years. He was active in the Mont Belvieu Fire and EMS in its formative years. He enjoyed gardening and other outdoor activities and woodworking, especially designing and building birdhouses.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rosie Marie Nealy Barrow; brother, M. J. Barrow; sisters, Alice Rose Grimland and Iantha Barrow; and son, Kenneth Barrow. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Jody and Paul Lindig and Tammye and Jim Moss; sister and brother-in-law, Etta and Don Sanders; daughter-in-law, Jeannette Barrow; grandchildren and their spouses, Kimberly and Duke Wheeler, Vandi and Neal Erskine, Brandon and Janice Lindig, Heaven and Wes Klaus, Nealee and J. D. Hebert, Jimmy Moss, and Jordan Moss; great grandchildren, Derek Hulsey, Megan and Tyler Carney, Garrett Erskine, Justin and Kandace Wheeler, Callie Hanson, Joe, Jesse, Jennifer and Joel Medrano, Jacey and Jaxyn Hebert, and Jayden, Dylan, and Kolton Moss; and great great grandchildren, Celeste Medrano and Cooper Ray Carney.

His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Leroy Stevens officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Derek Hulsey, Justin Wheeler, Brandon Lindig, Jimmy Moss, Jordan Moss, and Tyler Carney. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of the Cove Church of Christ, Bobby Joines, Mark Villarreal, and Mark Karns.
