Irene Prichard Tuach, 95, died at 12:20 a.m. Jan. 12, 2012, at Burton's Ridge.

She was born Feb. 5, 1916, in West Union, to Homer and Hulda Taylor Varner, who preceded her in death. In 1948, she married Roderick Tuach, who died in 1983.

Mrs. Tuach was a charter member of Shawnee Presbyterian Church. In 1985, she retired from Shawnee schools after about 30 years of service as the cafeteria coordinator. She enjoyed cooking and working in her flower gardens. She truly loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include a daughter, Betty (Vaughn) Grubaugh, of Lima; two sons, Robert (Donna) Prichard and Roderick W. (Paulette) Tuach, both of Lima; a special niece, Peg Garrad, of Crescent Spring, Ky.; 12 grandchildren, Deb (Ronnie) Boedicker, of Lima, Vaughn (Laura) Grubaugh, of Tigard, Ore., Bill (Sue) Grubaugh, of Columbus, Michael Prichard, of Manchester, Shawn (Trisha) Prichard, of Lima, Tommy (Christine) Prichard, of Lima, Melissa (Bill) Gross, of Dayton, Cathy (Joe) Brown, of Florida, LeeAnn (John) Pennick, of Salem, Ore., Rob (Cathy) Sherman, of Florida, Brent Sherman, of Oakridge, Tenn., and Kelly (Butch) Jones, of Oakridge, Tenn.; 20 great-grandchildren, Meredith (Bill) Seech, of Lima, Kayla Grubaugh, of Tigard, Ore., Kelsey Grubaugh, of Columbus, Jared Grubaugh, of Columbus, Michael Prichard, of Manchester, Jay Prichard, of Lima, Nicholas Prichard, of Lima, Thomas Prichard, of Lima, Nathan Morris, of Dayton, Payton Orick, of Dayton, Edward Neusel, of Tennesee, Missy (Mike) Stimmel, of Georgia, Chris (Shawn) Poovla, of Texas, Troy (Kristy) Boedicker, of California, Shane Boedicker, of Ohio, Lindsey Mott, of Florida, Ryan Mott, of Florida, Dustin Mott, of Florida, Samantha Sherman, of Florida, and Dalton Sherman, of Florida; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Otha Prichard; a daughter, Alice Prichard Sherman; and a sister, Agnes Varver Kline.

Services will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel. The Rev. Jeanne Kumbalek will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
