William Henry Carter, 95, of 2702 County Ave. died Wednesday in a local hospital.

Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the County Ave. Baptist Church. Rev. J. B. White and Rev. Elvin Crocker will officiate. Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Cora Carter; six sons, R. M. Carter, W. G. Carter, James H. Carter, Byron Carter and Thomas Carter, all of Texarkana; Charles G. Carter of Houston; seven daughters, Mrs. Floyd Crawford of Ft. Worth, Mrs. J. A. Buswell of Texarkana; Mrs. James A. Farrell of Denison, Tex.; Mrs. George Reed of Loveland, Tex.; Mrs. R. E. Adams of Houston; one sister, Mrs. Lillie Harris of Warren, Ark.; 31 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.
