Emil M. Johnsen, 80, Rt. 2, Denmark died early Saturday at a Green Bay hospital.
He was born Oct. 10, 1888 in the Town of New Denmark to the late Claus and Caroline (Clausen) Johnsen. A veteran of World War I, he married the former Verna Nelsen, Sept. 28, 1920. He was a lifelong resident of the Denmark area.
Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Florian (Loretta) Dworak, Rt. 2, Manitowoc and Mrs. John (Bernadine) Vandenbusch, Rt. 1, Whitelaw; three sons, Claude and Quentin, Green Bay, Ralph at home; one brother Ernest, California; three sisters, Mrs. Amelia Johnsen, Green Bay, Mrs. Lawrence Larsen, Union Grove and Mrs. J.P. Andersen, New Holstein; fifteen grandchildren.
At Knutson Funeral Home, Denmark after 3 p.m. today. Funeral 1:30 p.m., Monday, Our Savior Lutheran Church, Denmark, The Rev. Frank Tobisch officiating. Burial in West Danish Cemetery.
