Leo was born in 1948 and was the third child born to Rose (Vajda) & Elsworth Fowler. Leo served in the Viet Nam War and upon his discharge from the Army, he was able to complete his Associates Degree at Schoolcraft Community College and his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from the University of Michigan.

He had two children by his first wife, Dorothy Smith. The marriage fell apart and Leo was able to find someone that he could love for the rest of his life, his second wife, Judy. They bought a home in Livonia and finished raising all of the kids then went on to enjoy their retirement. Leo and Judy traveled as much as they could. Leo especially loved every location in Michigan. He seemed to know where every river, town and trail was in Michigan.

Leo also had many hobbies throughout his life. He enjoyed his baseball card collection since he was a really small boy. Later in life he really enjoyed genealogy.

Leo loved to spend time with his family. Leo & Judy would travel to see all of the grandkids down in Texas and Alabama. They would enjoy decorating Christmas cookies each year with the kids too.
