Carol Clarke Worrell
Carol Clarke Worrell, 69 A longtime resident of Ridley Park Carol Clarke Worrell, 69, died on January 14, 2012 at Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Upland. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Elwood and Florence Clarke. Carol was a resident of Ridley Park for the last 51 years. She was a longtime member of the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Lester Fire Company and the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Smith-Fox V.F.W. Post #4845 in Essington. She enjoyed shopping on QVC in her spare time. Carol was the wife of the late Robert P. "Babe" Worrell, who died in 2004. Survivors: Her sons Robert P. Worrell Jr. (Joyce) of Glenolden, Joseph Worrell (Linda) of the Lester section of Tinicum Township and Frank Worrell of Ridley Park; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday January 19th at 10 AM at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 1901 Chester Pike, in Eddystone. Visitation will be on Thursday 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the Griffith Funeral Chapel, 520 Chester Pike, in Norwood. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery in Drexel Hill. In lieu of flowers, contributions made in Carol's memory to St. Rose of Lima Church, 1901 Chester Pike, Eddystone, PA 19022-1395 would be appreciated.
