Mathilde Amalie Heike, born: 21 Sept 1880, residence: Glasberg, baptized: 26 Sept., Father: Adolf Heike, Mother: Wilhelmine Dombrowski, Godparents: Friedrich Piskel, farmer, of Glasberg, his wife Maria, both protestant and Maria Stobjinski, catholic.

Mathilde married Wilhelm August Gottfried Blödern (Blädern) on 16 May 1900 in Danzig. They had two children: Charlotte wilhelmina Mathilda baptised 1901 and Herbert William, baptized 1903, before emmigrating to America. They americanized their name to Bladorn and settled in Oregon.

Information taken from Baptism records Protestant (Lutherian) Church, Parish at Mariensee, Kreis Karthhause, Danzig, Westpreußen and marriage records from Danzig, Danzig-Westpreußen. The marriage record gives the names of their parents.

The area has a complicated history, changing hands many times. After WWII, this area became Polish; Mariensee is now Przywidz, Karthaus is Kartuzy, Danzig (Gdansk). Most of the German speaking population moved farther to the west at that time.
