Edwin was a Former Jeep employee of 32 years, Chief Steward of UAW Local 12. He retired in 1975. A UAW national representative from 1951 to 1959, he was a union organizer in California for the UAW international. He was a former trustee and chairman of Local 12 and wrote a weekly sports column for the local's "Union Journal."
He is reunited in heaven with his loving wife, Phyllis, who passed away Jan. 04, 2004. Surviving are their son Robert Mandy, daughter Joan Baranek, Grandchildren Cheryl Messina, Rob Madrzykowski, Jim Madrzykowski, and Tammy Soltis. Also surviving are their Great Grandchildren, Adam, Jacob, Jennifer, Kylie, Madison & Ashley.
