RENNE.--Mrs. William Renne died at her home on Francis Avenue, Pittsfield, Mass., Friday morning, August 9, 1889, aged 70. She had been out of health for over two years. She was the daughter of Deacon John Currier, a prominent citizen of Lyman, Maine, where she was born February 21, 1819. She was married to Mr. William Renne, of Pittsfield, June 16, 1852, at Boston, by Rev. Dr. James Porter, and has since lived in Pittsfield, where her husband is one of the most influential citizens. She was a consistent member of the Methodist Episcopal church, and had a strong Christian character. She was of a retiring disposition, but did her life work faithfully. The funeral services were held from her late home at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, and from the Methodist Episcopal church at 3 p.m. They were conducted by the Rev. Dr. Sawyer. The pall-bearers were her grandchildren, Edwin, James, and Charles E. Butler, sons of James H. Butler, and Harry M. Renne, son of Zenas C. Renne.
