85; of Clarksville
A services to celebrate the life of Betty Lloyd Russ, 85, of Clarksville, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, at Scott Funeral Home's North Chapel, Jeffersonville, with private inurnment in Walnut Ridge Cemetery at a later date. She died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012, at her home.
She leaves behind her loving family and friends and is waiting for them to join her on the 19th hole. We're sure she will have stories of her great golf prowess to share with all of us once we meet again.She retired as a supervisor after 26 years from the U.S. Census Bureau. Her many joys in life included attending services at the Louisville Center for Spiritual Living, golf, travel, bird watching, bowling, sewing and working with stained glass. She also enjoyed her time working with the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
She is survived by her loving family including a son, Scott Russ and his wife, Kathleen; a sister, Jean Horrar; nieces, Paula Bower and her husband, Gary, Lynn (Bill Nixon) Horrar, Ann Longsworth, and Kathy Horrar; two great- nephews, Tyler Horrar, and Evan Nixon; and her special caregivers and friends, Katie and Kim.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David S. Russ and parents, Lloyd and Eleanor Bledsoe.
