Catherine Glennon Donnelly, 98, of Spring Lake Heights, N.J., and formerly of Elizabeth, N.J., passed away on Monday, Jan. 16, 2012, at her home. Mrs. Donnelly was a homemaker and a grandmother. Relatives and friends are invited to call today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the O'Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy. 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall, N.J. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Catharine's R.C. Church, 215 Essex Ave., Spring Lake, N.J. Interment is in St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia section of Woodbridge Township, N.J. Church in Spring Lake, and had been a communicant of St. Genevieve's Parish, Elizabeth. Born and raised in Elizabeth, Catherine had been a resident of Fairway Mews, Spring Lake Heights, for the past 11 years. Mrs. Donnelly was predeceased by her husband, Francis A. Donnelly, in 1966; her three children, Frank and David Donnelly and Catherine Donnelly-Ferruggia, and her brothers and sisters, William, John and Ruth Glennon, Margaret Stratton and Mary Reilly. Surviving are her devoted children, Peter and Mary Jo Donnelly of Spring Lake, Robert and Maureen Donnelly of Middletown, N.J., Patricia and John Hyland of Merrick, N.Y.; her son-in-law, Gary Feruggia of Watchung, N.J., and daughter-in-law, Maureen Donnelly of Brick, N.J.; her 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
