There are five children but for the oldest two, Millie and Lee, it shows their Mother was born in Alabama & for the three youngest, Carle, Aurthor and Henry, she was born in Germany. This census also shows that the wife, Bettie, had a total of 3 children with 3 living.
The 1910 Federal Census dated 20 & 21 April shows Jake with wife Bertha (Verified by reading image of census. Perhaps he started calling Bettie "Bertha"?), and son Henry who was 13. It also shows that Bettie/Bertha had 3 children and 2 are now living. Note that this census shows Jake being born in Germany, not England as the 1900 FC showed. His occupation was Saloon Keeper.
NOTE: Certificate of Death has birth year of 1859 but monument has 1862.
