Elder John Ed Chandler, 71, of Cordova, pastor at Gateway Church of God in Christ and retired from Defense Distribution Depot Memphis after 31 years, died of cancer Monday at Saint Francis Hospital. He served as administrative assistant to the Jurisdictional Bishop of the Tennessee Fifth Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction Church of God in Christ, and superintendent of the Gospel Temple District.
