George Marion Stidham was born 14 Oct 1877 in Carroll County, Georgia and died 13 Apr 1954 in Cullman County, Alabama. He married 1st, Margaret Ann Selena Holcombe 26 Aug 1900 in Cullman County, Alabama. They had 8 children; Ruben Gertis, Lenena Jewell, George McCurdy, Audie Mae, William Searcy, Lillian Adorah, Laura Effie, James J. Selena died at the birth of James on Dec 24 1915 at the young age of 32. George married 2nd Bertha Ella Miller 20 Jun 1918 in Cullman County, Alabama. They had 2 children; John William "Willie" and Lizzie Winell.

He is the son of Reuben J. George Stidham and Lockie Ann Bethel Williams. The grandson of John Adam Stidham and Sarah C. Vines.

OBITUARY
Stidham Rites Held
Funeral services were held at New Hope April 15 for George M. Stidham, 76, who died the preceeding day at his Rt. 8, Cullman residence. Moss Service directed internment in the Pilgrim Rest Cemetery.

Surviving are four sons; Rubin G.,George M., William S., and John W. Stidham; four daughters, Mrs. Audie Engle, Mrs. Lillian Smith, Mrs. Effie Black and Mrs. Winell Drake; one brother and six sisters.
