Rena B. loved her God and her family (human and canine;) she loved socializing with friends and eating good food; she loved antique furniture and gospel music; she loved mathematics, which she called "beautiful," and the Tampa, Florida-area, which she believed (seriously) was the true location of the Garden of Eden.
Rena was a graduate of Moultrie High School, Norman Baptist Junior College, and Valdosta State College (BA in mathematics and MS in education.) She taught school for 49 years, the first few of those years in elementary school and the rest in junior high and middle school. Her specialty was algebra, for gifted students.
I, and many others, miss her terribly.
