Joyce Marie Mayfield, 44, died Friday, Dec. 14, 1984 at a Topeka hospital following a long illness. She was born Aug. 27, 1940 at Roanoke, VA., the daughter of Robert and Lillian Curtis Bryant. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church.
She married Andrew Mayfield, Dec 24, 1971, at Topeka. He survives at the home. Other survivors include three daughters, Lillian, Branda, and Rosie Mayfield, all of the home; two sons, Doral and Frank Mayfield, both of the home; her mother, Lillian Bryant; four sisters Mary Jane Fisher, Lilly Daniels, Betty Bryant, and Joann Spencer; six brothers, Eddie, Amos, Jimmy, Richard, Clarence, and Walter Bryant.
Mrs. Mayfield will lie in state from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Bowser-Johnson Funeral Home, and from 1 p.m. until service time at the church. Burial will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery.
