A funeral for Ethel Catherine Allen of McMinnville will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Valley Baptist Church, McMinnville, with the Rev. Kelly Boggs officiating. Interment will be in the Masonic Cemetery, McMinnville.
Mrs. Allen died Jan. 18, 2002, in Willamette Valley Medical Center, McMinnville. She was 75.
She was born May 22, 1926, in Tolstoy, S.D., the daughter of Dewey and Edna Coates Berry. She moved to Oregon in 1934.
She and Robert Allen were married March 14, 1946, in McMinnville.
She worked in maintenance at Linfield College, McMinnville, for more than 20 years and in housekeeping at the Careousel Care Center, McMinnville, for 10 years. She then worked in maintenance at Oregon Mutual Insurance, McMinnville, for 10 years. She retired in 2001.
Mrs. Allen enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting. She was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs.
Survivors include a son, Jim Allen of McMinnville; three daughters, Judy Gibbons of Sheridan, Janet Marmon of Albany and Jeri Wall of Corvallis; two sisters, Naomi Fagan of Lincoln City and Bonnie Beachy of Pleasant Hill; a brother, Lewis Berry of Woodburn; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1991 and by three brothers and a sister.
