Edward W. Flesner, aged 25 years and 5 months, died last Thursday afternoon, after a lingering illness of several months.

Burial took place in the cemetery in Clayton township Sunday afternoon. Funeral services were conducted by Reverend Oetting at the house, and later in Prairie church, where there assembled thrice the number of relatives and friends than could be admitted.

Deceased was the son of William H. Flesner, living near Golden. His mother's maiden name was Elsie Catherine Buss, who has been dead many years. Mr. Flesner was married to Miss Anna Weerts, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Weerts, living in the immediate neighborhood. They were married a little over a year ago.

Thursday evening about 6 o'clock occurred the death of Edward W. Flesner, on what is known here as the German prairie, southeast of Golden, of consumption. He had poor health for several years, but it was only last fall that he became serious, and then, his decline was very rapid. He was 25 years old, and had been married only about two years.

He leaves his wife; father; three brothers, two sisters, and a host of friends to mourn their loss.

His funeral was preached by Reverend Oetting in the Prairie church, and his remains laid to rest in the cemetery there. George W. Flesner, a brother, is manager of the F. M. King dry goods and clothing store here.
